Foods that help to whiten your teeth
There are certain foods that help to whiten your teeth and your teeth brighter. I will shortly make you aware of these foods, that can actually help your teeth become whiter.
All fruits and vegetables tend to cause scrubbing of your teeth while you eat them, hence can cause polishing of teeth which in turn makes them look whiter. They also help to stimulate saliva which causes the cleansing action to happen.
Certain specific foods that can help to whiten your teeth are :
Strawberries contain Maleic acid which acts as a natural astringent that helps to break down the surface stains which eventually remove them.
It contains a natural enzyme that acts as a natural stain remover and so, in turn, helps to whiten your teeth. Pineapple is the only food that contains Bromelain. Bromelain is an effective ingredient found in many whitening toothpastes and it helps to whiten the teeth naturally.
Apples are a rich source of fibre and by eating an apple it scrubs on the surface of the teeth and acts as a polishing agent. Apple contains maleic acid which helps in secretion of saliva and it helps to clean the teeth and to remove the stains from the teeth.
4)Onion and Garlic:
Onion and Garlic contain sulphur compounds. The function of sulphur and its compounds is that it helps in reducing the formation of bacteria in the oral cavity and hence lessen the chance of tooth decay. Bacterial colonies is a main reason behind the blackish discolouration of the tooth.
Now if these colonies are not formed the tooth doesn’t show any discolouration hence appears white. The only trick is that you must take onion and garlic raw to get its maximum benefits.
